One important life lessons which I have learned through my fifty over years is taking chances in life. And I don’t mean making reckless or anger-infused rash decisions because of pride. When I say taking chances or taking risks, they still come with responsibilities.
You have to weigh the pros and cons before you make any risk. But then again, at times, you don’t have the liberty to think it over, then you have to use your gut feelings.
One thing that is inevitable, you have to make mistakes in life journey. All my life, I admit I have made lots of bad decisions. At that moment, I did feel bad and regretted over my poor judgement or my stubborn pride.
But now as I look back, I don’t actually regret any one of those bad decisions. In fact they have all taught me important life lessons and as a result, they have guided me along till today. That’s why I don’t called them mistakes, but life lessons instead.
The only regrets I have are in fact are those risks which I did not dare to take when I was younger. For instance to travel abroad when I was younger and healthier.
One of my advice to younger folks is try to live your life without regret or at least with fewer regrets. I agree with Dr. John Izzo’s book “The Five Secrets You Must Discover Before You Die”. One of the secrets is when you die, you leave no regrets. He encourages one to take chances, pursue those dreams, and accept the failures one encounters along the your way. The key thing is to learn from those mistakes or failures and move on. It is a great book which you should get it.
Anyway here I have gathered a great collection of take risk quotes and sayings to encourage you to take that leap of faith. Take chances in life and learn to how to live life without regrets.
