Being Perfect Quotes And The Pursuit Of Perfect

Being A Perfectionist and being perfect quotes:
Those day, I was also one of those who believed in being a perfectionist. Spend (or now, I call it waste) a lot of time and effort trying to perfect my work, my relationships and even my life;the way I wanted it to be. All the obsessions and fusses over almost every thing that came my way.

Back then, I even felt proud to tell people that I was a perfectionist. Thinking that I was special just because I was extremely particular and meticulous with my decisions and actions. I thought I was “better” than the rest because I had a keen eye for details and very selective.

Now I practice the 80/20 rule; where I spend 20% of the time, to achieve 80% of output. No more long hours and lengthy research or discussions. I focus on the bigger picture and not kill myself over those nitty-gritty details all the time.

Remember, Steve Jobs’ real artists ship? Yes, it means it is important to actually deliver. Get the things out and get onto the next plan or project. Forget about wasting unnecessary time mulling over or procrastinating.

I used to have intense fear of failure; which held me back, making me rejected failure so vigorously that I dare not took the risks which are necessary for growth. Of course now I accept failure as an important part of a successful life. I have learned to let go and move on. It is so liberating.
